Is the Summer over yet?

I know I haven't posted for awhile. I've been gone to two different family reunions back to back (both camping), and as I was rifling through the mountain of laundry heaped on my couch looking for a blingin' clean pillowcase just so I could lay down I asked myself, is the Summer over yet?! With two campouts back to back and only a day in between for laundry, to say my house looks like my washer threw up is an understatement. I know I claim I'm a neat-freak, and truly I am, but if you want to see otherwise come check out my house now. Sleeping bags, duffle bags, clothes everywhere (some clean some still smell like smoke), a layer of dust coating everything, my bathrooms are growing something awful, and I'm just too exhausted to begin to tackle it. But I was glad to answer my question with a YES! Summer is over! We have completed our seventh and last campout of the season, the kids start school in less than a week, and the preschoolers begin in a couple weeks! I can hardly contain my excitement! I will have three mornings a week child free where I can just WRITE! So beware, I will not answer my door or phones M,W,F mornings...I'm going to disappear into my cavernous basement and hopefully create! Of course, I have to wade through the mess to unearth the basement door first...ugh.
