The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Meghan Chase, half mortal-half Summer fey, is now trapped in the palace of the Winter fey. Abandoned by the Ice Prince Ash, and subject to the whims of Queen Mab, Meghan tries to hide her broken heart. Emotion is considered a weakness among the Winter-fey and they feast on it. War is on the horizon between Summer and Winter, caused by the Iron fey. Meghan knows she must be the one to stop it, but while her powers have been cut off, and still trapped within the ice world, she feels it an impossible task.
The Iron Daughter was an easy, entertaining read. Perfect for over the holidays. With some espionage, and intrigue, mingled with romance, it was easy to keep reading.
